October 1, 2019, Bishkek city. Gizat Nurdauletov, Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan took part today in the 29th meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Prosecutors General of the CIS Member States (CCPG) and the 17th meeting of the Prosecutors General of the States Parties to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
The heads of the supreme supervisory authorities of the CIS countries and the SCO - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, India, China, Pakistan, representatives of the observer states of Afghanistan, Iran and Mongolia attended the meeting.
The Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan made a report on the topic: “Modernization of law enforcement in the Republic of Kazakhstan” during the meeting of the CCPG.
The main topic of discussion of the prosecutors of the SCO countries was the issue of countering smuggling and illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors.
During the visit, an Agreement on the provision of legal assistance between the Prosecutor General's offices of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was signed, as well as a Memorandum between the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation in educational and research activities.
Also, G. Nurdauletov held a number of bilateral meetings with the prosecutors general of the CIS and SCO countries, where relevant issues in combating transnational crimes were discussed.
